The Little Boo Shop was inspired by a single mom and her Little Boo.

The journey started when Little Boo was two months old and this new mom, Ashley, knew her maternity leave from Tractor Supply (a side job she worked at while she was pregnant) was about to come to an end. Instead of going back to work, Ashley knew she wanted to spend every moment she could with her child.

“You only get one chance to spend time with your son this young,” she continued to tell herself. But, how was she going to provide for her Little Boo, if she decided to stay home?

Then all of a sudden she had an idea, like a light bulb beaming above her head. She was going to start her own business - an online business.

Not only had she never owned her own business before, but she also had never had the will to do so until now. All these years of her mind driven toward accomplishing other goals and somehow she ended up right here - starting all over again.

No, this was not the first time she had done something drastically different before. “Why not take risks in life?” She always told herself.

However, this was much different. Her choices would and do forever impact her son. If she wins, he wins too, but if she fails, she could fail him. That is a scary thing. All parents, especially single parents, know this and it changes the whole game of life. So, this risk was bigger than she could have ever imagined and she had no idea where to even begin.

Without hesitation, Ashley started her research. About a month had passed and she had created her own Limited Liability Company (LLC). She called it Merchandise At Your Door (MAYD) LLC. Excitement flooded her, even though her exhaustion was now overwhelming.

About a month had passed by and Ashley was reading a business book late at night. As she read, she came across a section of the book when all of a sudden God gave her a Revelation. It was like remembering a once forgotten thought and then finally remembering, there was a sense of relief. Ashley knew that her flagship brand needed to be centered around baby products and every single sale would be dedicate to helping other single moms and dads, as well as children who may not have parents. This brand would be called Little Boo.

“I want to show other single parents, it is not how you start out in life, it is how you finish!” Ashley knew that it was time to start making a difference.

Being a parent is one of the hardest, but most rewarding things one could ever go through. On top of that, being a single parent, there are a lot of dynamics that change. However, no matter what a person may go through in life, you can always find ways to overcome any challenge. Even if it takes one little baby step at a time, anything is possible, especially with God by your side.

This business not only allows Ashley to stay home with Little Boo, but now she gets to impact other single parents’ and foster children’s lives.
